The much talked about, the much hyped movie, starring Kareena and Akshay in the lead is a multi starrer which is slated for release soon. Kambakkht Ishq is an interesting love story between two distinctly opposite individuals.
One a Casanova who thinks women are only for sleeping around and the other a feminist that believes men are good for nothing. Yet love manages to spark and how cupid strikes between markedly different people is the plot of the movie.
The character sketches are as follows:
Akshay Kumar - Viraj: A successful stuntman in Hollywood is fond of women but disagrees with words like commitment and marriage. He earns big bucks for doing dangerous stunts which the heroes fear to perform and leads a lavish life. Women, parties, the adrenaline rush while doing a stunt are the highs in his life.
Kareena Kapoor - Simrita: Simrita is a feminist and is on the path to great success with her professional life. She does not see the need to have a man in her life as she strongly believes that all men are no-good losers.
Amrita Arora - Kamini: An innocent and beautiful girl, she is one of the top lingerie models but dreams of getting married to a man who loves her. She is more of a dreamer who wants the whole package; a loving husband, cute kids and a white picket fence house.
Aftab Shivdasani - Lucky: Lucky is the nice and loving younger brother of Viraj and is madly in love with Kamini. He wishes to marry her but is advised against marriage by his older brother.
The movie explores the twists and turns and the love story that blooms between people of two different thought inclinations. The two individuals are as distinct as chalk and cheese and their meetings spark fireworks but no fire.
Situations bring the lead actors together in most absurd and hilarious situations and finally fate binds them in an unthinkable manner. So this movie is a must watch for people who believe that love doesn’t exist and also those that believe in love, destiny and happy endings.
